Concentration and stability of attention is the very doorway into a deeper, more refined, and enriching relationship with ourselves and almost every aspect of our life. Its importance has become even more relevant to us in our modern era where our technological lifestyle has fragmented the depth of our experience, robbing it of much of its richness and adversely effected our psychological and neurological make up. There are so many reasons why you might want to embark on this journey over the coming year.
The Art of Concentration Online Course
The theme of Burgs' main online program this year is “The Art of Concentration”. It is a deep and important subject with vast scope. Because of the breadth and importance of this subject it is Burgs' wish to share this material in an ongoing fluid format that can evolve at a pace that is aligned with the progress of the participants. To facilitate this it will be a fluid program using a variety of ways to present and share the content. As explained in his recent audio on Patreon, it is Burgs' wish to offer this course on a donation basis rather than to charge a fee for it.
There is an initial registration fee of £50 after which you will be invited to make a donation at the end of each stage of the course. In this way we hope that each of you will feel able to participate for as long as is appropriate for your own needs. It is an enormous field and some of you may want to take breaks between its various modules so that your actual practice might keep pace with the teachings.
The material for this course will be presented on our online course website. Each lesson will contain a mixture of one or all of the following:
Guided meditation (available to download so you can practice without being online).
Supporting discourse, either providing clarity on the theme of the lesson, or something inspirational to support your practice
Written content
Registration is now open.
The first lesson will be published, Saturday 1st February 2025.
Registration closes 14th February 2025.
